Privacy Policy

1. Information We Process
- Images and item details for grading. When you choose to analyse a card or comic, the photos you select and any optional details you enter (such as name, set, year, or issue number) are sent to our grading service and then to Anthropic Claude to generate the requested grade. Our grading service processes this request in memory and does not permanently store submitted images or item details on our servers.
- Market-search queries. When you search the price guide or confirm a slab QR scan, the card or comic name, set, grade, and other search terms needed for the lookup are sent to our pricing service and onward to eBay to return market listings and pricing. We do not intentionally retain those search queries in an application database.
- Purchase history and subscription status. RevenueCat and Apple / Google manage purchases, receipt validation, and entitlement status. We receive the subscription entitlement needed to unlock Premium features, but we do not receive payment card details.
2. Data Stored on Your Device
Pre-Grade AI stores the following information locally on your device through React Native AsyncStorage. This local app data is not transmitted merely because it is stored:
- Grade history — grade results, date, optional item details, and a local reference to the selected image so you can view your vault.
- Usage limits — the current month and number of free grades used, to apply the free-tier limit.
- Watchlist and price alerts — collectible names, optional set or issue details, target prices, alert preferences, and the latest displayed price.
- Preferences and cached data — your selected app accent theme and cached trending-price information, to preserve your preferences and improve loading performance.
3. Third-Party Services
- Anthropic Claude — processes submitted card/comic images and optional item details to generate grade assessments. Information is sent over an encrypted connection. Anthropic's handling and retention of API inputs are governed by its applicable terms and privacy documentation; see Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
- eBay — receives market-search queries through our pricing service to provide listings and price information. See eBay's Privacy Notice.
- RevenueCat — manages subscription state, purchase history, and entitlements. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
- Apple App Store / Google Play — handles payments. See their respective privacy policies.
4. Data Storage & Security
Information sent between the app and our services uses HTTPS/TLS. Local app data described above is stored through React Native AsyncStorage and is removed when you uninstall the app. We do not maintain an account database or permanently store grading images or grading history on our servers.
5. Children's Privacy
Pre-Grade AI is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Your Rights
There is no user account to delete. You can remove locally stored grade history, watchlist data, preferences, and caches by uninstalling the app. For questions about information processed by a third-party service, its own privacy process may also apply. 7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Significant changes will be noted with a revised "Last updated" date at the top.
